Soldered or Unsoldered?
There are two options to choose from: “Soldered” and “Unsoldered”.
If you choose the “Unsoldered” option, you will have to solder the PMW3360 sensor to the PCB, and complete any other soldering work required to assemble the PCBs.
If you choose the “Soldered” option, the PMW3360 will already be soldered to the PCB when you receive it, and all other soldering work will also be completed.
If you order the “Unsoldered” version of the board, you’ll need:
- A soldering iron
- Solder
If you do not have these tools, you will not be able to complete the assembly process.
If you select the “Unsoldered” version of the board, we recommend watching this video about soldering prior to starting your soldering work. It correctly shows how to avoid common issues like cold joints, excessive or not enough solder, and how and when to use flux. We also recommend watching this video about desoldering, which provides additional educational background on the desoldering process.
This part requires a significant amount of electronics assembly expertise to assemble correctly. If your device is non-functioning as a result of inadequate assembly, we cannot provide warranty service to you.
