LIMITED HARDWARE WARRANTY
Ploopy offers to the original purchaser a limited 1-year manufacturer’s warranty from date of purchase. This covers defects in the material and workmanship on all Ploopy hardware products. This limited warranty is subject to the terms and conditions listed below.
How long is the limited warranty valid?
The limited warranty is valid for 365 days starting on the date of purchase.
What is covered under this limited warranty?
The limited warranty is valid for all Ploopy hardware products. The limited warranty covers defects in the hardware product material or workmanship, and applies only to non-commercial use.
What is not covered under this limited warranty?
The limited warranty does not cover:
- wear and tear due to normal use;
- cosmetic damage due to normal use;
- parts originally supplied with the Ploopy hardware product that were lost or misplaced;
- damage caused by accidents, impacts, and abuse;
- damage caused by improper use, maintenance, and storage;
- damage caused by contact with liquids.
This limited warranty does not cover incidental or consequential damage.
Additionally, this limited warranty does not cover products that have been:
- assembled incorrectly;
- disassembled;
- altered;
- damaged due to unauthorized repair;
- damaged due to use of consumables, such as parts not supplied by Ploopy;
- damaged due to use of non-Ploopy services or software that may interact with Ploopy hardware products, and;
- damaged due to use by someone other than the original purchaser.
Make sure to follow assembly instructions carefully, and, when needed, to practice soldering or any other assembly techniques before attempting it on Ploopy hardware products.
What will Ploopy do to address a warranty claim?
Ploopy will inspect the hardware product and decide if it is covered under this limited warranty, at its sole discretion.
Ploopy’s entire liability and your exclusive remedy for any breach of warranty shall be, at Ploopy’s option, (1) to repair or replace the hardware product, or (2) to refund the price paid, provided that the hardware product is returned to Ploopy. Hardware products that are returned become the property of Ploopy. Shipping and handling charges may apply except where prohibited by applicable law. Ploopy may, at its option, replace your hardware product, offer to provide a functionally equivalent hardware product, or repair any hardware product with new, refurbished or used parts as long as such parts are in compliance with the hardware product’s technical specifications. Any replacement hardware product will be warranted for the remainder of the original warranty period or thirty (30) days, whichever is longer, or for any additional period of time that may be applicable in your jurisdiction.
Disclaimer of Implied Warranties
EXCEPT TO THE EXTENT PROHIBITED BY APPLICABLE LAW, ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE ON THIS HARDWARE PRODUCT IS LIMITED TO THE DURATION OF THE APPLICABLE EXPRESS WARRANTY PERIOD FOR YOUR PRODUCT.
Limitation of Remedies; Exclusion of Incidental and Consequential Damages
YOUR SOLE AND EXCLUSIVE REMEDY UNDER THIS LIMITED WARRANTY SHALL BE PRODUCT REPAIR AS PROVIDED HEREIN. PLOOPY SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES.
